Passion for Health and Fitness

Dr Chris has always been dedicated to sports and fitness. He has engaged in rock climbing, weightlifting, martial arts, and rugby, later joining the Royal Marine Commandos. More recently, his focus has shifted to CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting.

Personal Experience with TRT

Dr Chris says "As I have aged, I have become more interested in cellular and hormonal health.  The benefits of lifestyle interventions such as nutrition and exercise are vital, but sometimes there is a missing piece to the puzzle.

"As I hit 37 years old, I started to suffer from symptoms of testosterone deficiency. I became irritable, had low libido, had no energy, felt tired all the time, and began falling asleep during the day. I had gone from running and weightlifting daily to being unmotivated to train.  Checks showed that my testosterone levels were borderline low, and I realised that I did not have to accept feeling this way.

"I started to research the effects of testosterone and the health benefits of testosterone optimisation. On starting treatment, the improvement in my mood and quality of life was astounding. I returned to weightlifting and CrossFit and started to enjoy physical exercise again. My libido returned, and I felt vast improvements in my energy and motivation."

Commitment to Individualised Care

Dr Chris has completed a postgraduate Diploma in Endocrinology to further his knowledge of common men's health issues and hormonal health. He has extensive experience in treating hormone deficiencies, erectile dysfunction, obesity, hair loss, and androgen-induced infertility.

Chris has dedicated his career to providing gold-standard TRT treatment believes ageing should not mean accepting the symptoms of testosterone deficiency when safe and effective treatments exist.

In relation to his experience, Dr Chris says "I have spent the last six years treating patients both with testosterone deficiency and more complex patients with multiple issues and comorbidities. I have also been teaching doctors, designing treatment protocols and pathways, and striving to ensure the companies I represented offer the highest standard of care for patients with testosterone deficiency.

"Many of my proudest achievements have been witnessing the positive benefits my patients have seen with effective treatment. Fathering children they did not think possible or helping people to transition from unsafe, ineffective therapy onto treatment protocols that have changed their lives.

"I believe in a patient-focused approach with no two people being the same, so it was astounding to me that the one-size-fits-all approach to the treatment of testosterone deficiency should still be standard practice. I was even more astounded that the companies I owned moved away from individualised patient-centred care to administer TRT via standardised protocols. This approach may allow the treatment of thousands of patients and the use of doctors with little knowledge of testosterone replacement to oversee treatment. However, this results in unhappy patients and poor treatment outcomes. Every person is individual, with differences in receptors and response to therapy; therefore, this requires an individualised approach."

Keeping up to date with the latest research and developments in this exciting field of medicine drives me, and transferring this knowledge to improve my patients' lives is the most excellent satisfaction I have found since becoming a doctor.

A Responsible Approach to TRT

"Testosterone replacement isn't magic" says Dr Chris.

"Not everyone needs testosterone replacement. Don’t start TRT just because of a social media ad or a discount after a blood test. You should have symptoms of testosterone deficiency before considering treatment. If symptoms don’t improve, treatment should stop with minimal disruption, regardless of commercial factors.

An effective protocol may require extra medication, dose adjustments, or personalization. Clear communication, patient feedback, and knowledge of common TRT issues are key to success.

When combined with good nutrition, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle, TRT’s benefits can be life-changing—I’ve seen it first hand."
