Passion for Health and Fitness
Dr Chris has always been dedicated to sports and fitness. He has engaged in rock climbing, weightlifting, martial arts, and rugby, later joining the Royal Marine Commandos. More recently, his focus has shifted to CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting.
Personal Experience with TRT
His interest in cellular and hormonal health grew as he aged. Despite maintaining a disciplined lifestyle, he experienced symptoms of testosterone deficiency at 37. He felt fatigued, irritable, and unmotivated, with low libido and poor energy levels.
After testing, his testosterone levels were found to be borderline low. Through research and treatment, he discovered the profound benefits of testosterone optimisation. TRT improved his mood, energy, and overall well-being. He returned to weightlifting and CrossFit, regaining his passion for physical activity.
Commitment to Individualised Care
Dr Chris has dedicated his career to providing gold-standard TRT treatment. He believes ageing should not mean accepting the symptoms of testosterone deficiency when safe and effective treatments exist.
Over the past six years, he has treated patients with testosterone deficiency and complex medical conditions. He has trained doctors, designed treatment protocols, and ensured the highest standards of care. Some of his proudest moments include helping patients transition to safe, effective treatment and witnessing life-changing improvements, such as patients fathering children they once thought impossible.
The Need for Personalised TRT
Dr Chris advocates for a patient-centred approach. No two individuals are the same, yet many clinics still use a one-size-fits-all protocol. This approach often leads to poor outcomes and dissatisfied patients. Effective TRT must be tailored to the individual, considering differences in hormone receptors and responses to treatment.
A Responsible Approach to TRT
Testosterone replacement is not a quick fix. Not everyone needs TRT, and it should not be started based on a social media advert or a discounted blood test. Symptoms should be present before committing to treatment. If symptoms do not improve, therapy should be stopped without commercial influence.
An effective TRT protocol may require adjustments, additional medications, and a personalised approach. Listening to the patient, understanding their needs, and addressing potential challenges are crucial for success.
With the right balance of TRT, nutrition, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle, the benefits can be life-changing. Dr Chris Airey has experienced this first-hand and continues to help others achieve the same.
